Nicole Fraine

Clinical Psychologist

Nicole is a clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience. Nicole worked for 15 years as a school psychologist and now specializes in the treatment of post-traumatic stress, sleep difficulties and phobias. She is also passionate about helping those with anxiety, depression and those suffering from physical pain. She has a holistic approach, using a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR therapy), Hypnosis and Mindfulness. She uses only those therapies that her clients feel comfortable with.

Nicole is currently a trainee consultant and facilitator for EMDR Institute courses around Australia. She is a level 1 practitioner in mindfulness for the Australian Institute of Applied Mindfulness. Nicole has attended the 10 day Vipassana meditation course in Pomona, Queensland. She has also completed a 100-hour accredited hypnosis course with Michael Yapko from the United States.

Nicole’s aim is to help people to clear any disturbance affecting them from their past, learn skills to live with calmness, acceptance and happiness in the present and to achieve their goals in therapy as quickly as possible so that therapy is required no longer than the client wishes. She does this by helping people let go of disturbance around previous adverse life events when applicable (through use of EMDR therapy) and through the teaching of tools that can be used throughout life (e.g., Mindfulness, CBT, hypnosis and making other positive life changes).

Nicole works with children, adolescents and adults.

Nicole is the mother of 2 children. She practices mindfulness and meditation. She enjoys practicing yoga and growing her own food.
