Nicole is a clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience. Nicole worked for 15 years as a school psychologist and now specializes in the treatment of post-traumatic stress, sleep difficulties and phobias. She is also passionate about helping those with anxiety, depression and those suffering from physical pain. She has a holistic approach, using a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR therapy), Hypnosis and Mindfulness. She uses only those therapies that her clients feel comfortable with.
Nicole is currently a trainee consultant and facilitator for EMDR Institute courses around Australia. She is a level 1 practitioner in mindfulness for the Australian Institute of Applied Mindfulness. Nicole has attended the 10 day Vipassana meditation course in Pomona, Queensland. She has also completed a 100-hour accredited hypnosis course with Michael Yapko from the United States.
Nicole’s aim is to help people to clear any disturbance affecting them from their past, learn skills to live with calmness, acceptance and happiness in the present and to achieve their goals in therapy as quickly as possible so that therapy is required no longer than the client wishes. She does this by helping people let go of disturbance around previous adverse life events when applicable (through use of EMDR therapy) and through the teaching of tools that can be used throughout life (e.g., Mindfulness, CBT, hypnosis and making other positive life changes).
Nicole works with children, adolescents and adults.
Nicole is the mother of 2 children. She practices mindfulness and meditation. She enjoys practicing yoga and growing her own food.

Eloise has a particular interest in working with adults who feel anxious, frustrated, depressed or generally overwhelmed. Using a variety of techniques including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, her approach is to empower adults with practical tools and strategies to move forward.
With over 20 years’ experience, Eloise completed her Honours degree in Psychology at the University of Queensland, and has worked in the areas of behavioural intervention, coping with chronic health conditions, and individual counselling. She has also presented group training in stress management, self-esteem, Love Languages, and behavioural intervention. She is a member of the Australian Psychology Association, and the Christianity and Psychology Interest Group.
Her personal interests include learning more about how gut health can effect mood, and spending time with her husband and three young boys.

Gayre has a special interest in emotional health pain, and addictions. He focuses on client’s emotional health and he uses mindfulness and hypnotherapy with selected clients as an adjunct to other therapeutic approaches. He is supportive! Child and Adolescents:
Gayre is a Chartered Child and Educational Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. He has extensive experience working with children and adolescents in clinic, school, and family settings.
In his other role, Gayre holds a part-time position at Nambour Hospital in The Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Screening Clinic and Multidisciplinary Service (OPSC) unit. This unit specialises in helping orthopaedic patients who suffer chronic pain, to learn how their psychological reactions to pain may be changed.

Gayre is an experienced addictions counsellor (for men and women) and is the former Director of the Alcohol and Drugs Council, Queensland and the Alcohol and Drugs Council of Australia. He is mindful that recovering from addiction is a complex process and uses Motivational Interviewing to help clients recognise where they are in this process and to make decisions that affirm change. He advocates abstinence.

Merri brings over 20 years depth of experience as a Psychologist in private practice. Merri is passionate about transforming human experience and assisting people to achieve a rich, full and meaningful life despite traumatic and painful life events. Merri has a special interest in working with people experiencing complex trauma, post-traumatic stress and anxiety. Merri is a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Re-processing) therapist and has been using this approach for 19 years, supporting people to process distressing traumatic memories and adverse life experiences. Clients frequently report improved sleep, less distress and anxiety and greater capacity to attend to daily living.
Merri’s counselling includes working with road and workplace accidents, sexual abuse/assaults, domestic violence, grief and loss, anxiety and panic, depression, anger management, conscious parenting, relationship issues and inner child work. Merri also has a strong interest in gut health, mystery illness and women’s sexual health.
Merri embraces a holistic, person centred approach incorporating various therapies including, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness techniques including MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), EMDR, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Psychophonetics, Psycho-Nutrition, Non Violent Communication, and Mbraining. Jayne is the founder of Get-A-Grip Youth & Community Services, and brings over 25 years of experience in the social services industry to her role here at Life Bridge.
Jayne has a specialises in working with clients who need assistance with addiction counselling, relapse prevention, social isolation, transitioning into remote communities, culture shock, depression, anxiety, workplace stress, anger management, separation/divorce, children coping with parental separation, pre-sentence counselling, autism and ADHD. Jayne works well with teenagers through to adults.
Jayne has worked in a range of communities in both Australia and New Zealand. During this time, she gained experience in Government settings such as Justice, Mental Health and Child Protection, receiving accreditation in 2005 as a Mental Health Social Worker. Jayne has also enjoyed working in non-Government settings providing counselling, youth work, family support, mediation, mentoring programs, teaching and supervision (contractors, students, volunteers). Christine has worked in the social services field for more than twenty years with experience in a range of areas. She specialises in working with clients who need assistance with depression and anxiety, relationship counselling, addiction counselling, relapse prevention, crisis intervention, grief and loss, social isolation, workplace stress, anger management, separation/divorce, children coping with parental separation and child protection issues. Christine works well with children from the age of eight through to teenagers, adults and older people.
Christine has worked extensively in Cairns, Far North Queensland and the Sunshine Coast. During this time, she gained experience in Government settings such as Queensland Health, and Child Protection. She received accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker in 2007. Christine has worked in non-Government settings providing counselling as well as teaching at the University of the Sunshine Coast and supervising students on placements.
Christine is a clinical supervisor, using her wealth of experience in the industry to assist professional social workers and counsellors.
