Lily House is a women’s accommodation centre that was opened in May 2008 as a response to a need for temporary housing for women during a period of readjustment in their life. The home offers short and long-term accommodation, with the aim of assisting young women facing hardship and helping them to integrate into the community with a sense of hope and purpose. Lily House focuses particularly on young pregnant women in need of support to enable them to give birth to their babies and establish themselves in the community with the basic skills and support needed to create a loving safe environment in which to raise their child.

Since opening its doors, Lily House has provided assistance to women experiencing various forms of crisis; young mothers and infants fleeing domestic violence, homeless women of all ages and pregnant young women.

Lily House aims to bring wholeness to women from all walks of life, being committed to serving the total person physically, emotionally and spiritually.


North Coast Aboriginal Corporation for Community Health (NCACCH) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service located at Birtinya on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

NCACCH provides health services to the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community members residing in the Sunshine Coast and Gympie region, an area totaling over 7000sq km.

Our core business is to bring the status of Indigenous health up to mainstream standards by providing high quality and accessible primary health services to community members.

Get a grip

Jayne Miller is the founder of Get A Grip Youth & Community Services.  Jayne has been working in the Social Services industry for over 20 years, including a range of communities in Australia and New Zealand. Get A Grip has expanded to include Remote Worker Support Service. This service provides ongoing support to workers in remote regions of Australia addressing the complex issues faced with social isolation and transition into remote cultures, avoiding culture shock. Jayne currently works at Life Bridge Counselling and Psychology in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.
